Hypnosis

Children are good at hypnosis, they enter hypnosis every day when day-dreaming or during play.

Have you ever called your child and they haven’t responded? They weren’t being naughty, they probably just didn’t hear, they were totally absorbed and in a ‘trance’ or hypnotised.

Hypnosis is totally natural, it is an altered state of awareness during which time your child’s subconscious mind absorbs direct and indirect suggestions and subliminal messages.

Each story starts with the same induction that gently guides children into a relaxed state of hypnosis. This enables their subconscious mind to be open to positive suggestions.

Rapport is an important element for hypnosis. Patricia’s soft voice has often been described as perfect for hypnosis. Children are instantly calmed by her gentle caring tone. Magical results start to happen quickly.

Subliminal messages and embedded hypnotic commands can be heard easily by the subconscious mind, but not necessarily by the conscious mind.

As the subconscious doesn’t know the difference between what’s real and what’s imagined, it accepts what it is told, if it is told ‘I am calm’ during hypnosis then it becomes calm.

Children look forward to bedtime, whilst listening to an enjoyable story, they don’t realise they are receiving powerful therapy.
